The Selectivity of Buton Pot’s Escape Gap in Kotania Bay, Maluku, Indonesia

This research was aimed at proving the differences between catch results of fish trapped inside bubu buton (fish pot) and those that escaped through escape gap to analyze selectivity for dominant fish. carried out in Kotania Bay period March-May 2019 fishing experiment. Five units with a dimension 70x70x26 cm, containing 4 gaps each unit, were used during experiments total 11 trips. The showed there 19 families caught study, dominated by Scaridae family. There significant difference weight significance level t_α0,05. Among caught, percentage different pot gap. 50% chance (L50) family from found length 22.3 which became indication sustainable management.
